Free Movies at 212 Pier Coffee Shop: One of my favorite java joints of the Westside hosts free screenings of your most beloved films every Friday night! Mike Mignola Art Show: Comic artist superstar Mike Mignola will have 
original artwork on display for one night only at the Eastside’s one-stop comic book shop Secret Headquarters. Sip on free wine while catching an eyeful of never before seen Hellboy prints and a limited edition illustrated letterpress print that was made just for this show.

Free Mixtape at Abe Vigoda Show: FYF Fest + ERMF presents a stellar lineup at the Echo Rock Center for the Arts with Cold Cave, Abe Vigoda, and Former Ghost. This is an all-ages romp, so booze up beforehand. Although there is a cost to get in, the first 100 attendees will receive a free mixtape that is in actual cassette form. The first in a series of mixtapes that FYF will be giving out, this mix was made by Wes Eisol of Cold Cave.

Unique L.A. Holiday Show: Support your local artists and craftsters this 
weekend at the 2nd Annual Unique L.A. craft and art sale and holiday show. With 300 designers and artists showcasing their one-of-a-kind wares, you will surely find something for everyone on your Christmas shopping list. My favorite plush designer, Trish Tatum of Plush Parade, will be showcasing her latest creations. Plus, there will be tons of fun workshops, a pop-up Tiara’s Cafe and Platine Bakery where you can enjoy some epicurean delights. Giveaways at the top of every hour and your $10 admission grants you a admittance for both days and a free limited edition tote bag designed by Shepard Fairey (until they’re gone).

WeHo Craft Riot Fair: It’s going to be quite a crafty weekend as the City of West Hollywood will be hosting its own craft fair. Swing by to check out all the neat handmade designs by local vendors and artists and the Urban Craft Center will be offering free workshops in needle felting and embroidery. Proceeds benefit a toy drive. There will be raffles, food, entertainment galore! The first 50 people in line will receive a free goodie bag!

Free Tour of UCLA’s Mathias Botanical Garden: Apparently free tours are given the first Sunday of the month at the Mathias Botanical Garden over at UCLA. If you haven’t been, it’s highly worth checking out. Tours begin at 1 p.m. and bring a picnic lunch so you can sit on a bunch and enjoy some fresh air.
